What is the best way to catch the attention of a visitor to your website? The very best way - bar none - is with a video. The two minute video could be the best investment you ever make in your website.
Why is that? Well most people lead busy lives and they have a short attention span. You need to be able to explain what you have to offer in the least amount of time. With a video, you can show, tell and inform - all at the same time.
It's like you take your entire website and squash it into just two minutes - "there it is - that's us!"
I had a couple of speaking engagements this week at Showcase 2016 in the RDS, Dublin. The exhibitors were crafts people from around the country showing everything from jewelery to fashion. The visitors were mainly gift shop owners from around the world, there to see what's new in the world of Irish crafts.
I showed them a two minute video recently made for a client of mine by Lensmen Photography. Her website acts as a showroom for her ceramic art and the video is a taster to entice the visitor to come in and look around. Here is a link to the two minute video.
